A 26-year-old man accused of raping a woman while she was celebrating her birthday, was denied bail by the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court near Pretoria on Wednesday

According to National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana, it is alleged that Richard Smangaliso Mamba raped the 26-year-old woman in a street close to a tavern where she was celebrating her birthday with her friends on 20 September.
