Another royal biopic is in the pipeline, and this one looks to be more explosive than the last
Battle of Brothers: William and Harry – The Inside Story of a Family in Tumult hits book stores in less than 3 weeks and promises to pack a punch when it comes to the secrets – and alleged cover-ups – of the Royal Family.
And this one is written by someone with expert knowledge of the British Monarchy – author Robert Lacey is an acclaimed historical consultant who has contributed to the award-winning Netflix series The Crown.
According to a description on Amazon, the book will delve into the rumoured feud between brothers Prince William and Prince Harry, their wives as well as their complicated childhood.
It reads: “The biography will reveal the untold details of William and Harry’s closeness and estrangement, asking what happens when two sons are raised for vastly different futures – one burdened with the responsibility of one day becoming king, the other with the knowledge that he will always remain spare.

“How have William and Harry both agreed and diverged in their views of what a modern royal owes to their country? Were the seeds of damage sowed by Prince Charles and Princess Diana as their marriage unraveled for all the world to see? What role has Queen Elizabeth II played in marshalling her feuding heirs? What parts have Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle played in helping their husbands to choose their differing paths? And what is the real, unvarnished story behind Harry and Meghan’s dramatic departure?”
According to royal rumours, the brothers – who were once considered best friends – cut off communication following Harry’s departure from the Royal Family earlier this year.
Critics also suggest the brothers are attempting to put up a ‘unified front’ to dispel the rumours.
Meanwhile the biography author reportedly also sent his transcript to Buckingham Palace’s pre-publication department for their approval, however they refused to give their go-ahead and it was returned to him, unopened
“They took fright over the title, probably”, Robert told the MailOnline.
However, he insists it’s a story that needs to be told.
He continued: “But the title is correct, and important. When I started to look into this supposed feud between the two princes, I didn’t believe it. I thought it was newspapers stirring up something that wasn’t there. I didn’t want to believe it, in truth. None of us does. Yet it most definitely exists. Actually, it’s worse than anyone thinks”.
