Botulinum toxin injections

Botulinum toxin injections have gained much popularity over the years. These injectable neuromodulators are a safe and effective treatment for dynamic wrinkles, which appear when you smile or frown.

Botulinum toxin injections work by temporarily blocking nerve signals and relaxing muscles in targeted areas. It produces results that are simply not possible with creams.

This process triggers a series of events which mimics the natural skin repair cycle and growth factors are released which stimulates collagen and elastin production. It is incredibly useful for signs of skin aging and acne scarring.

Using microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) produces more significant results. PRP therapy takes advantage of your body’s own growth factors from platelets and it is an effective way of regenerating the skin.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels have been used for over 100 years to create an even and controlled shedding of damaged skin cells.

Peels can treat fine lines and wrinkles, different types of pigmentation and superficial scarring. An acid or less often basic solution is applied to the skin, dissolving skin cells and removing the top layers of the epidermis.

The effects vary depending on how deeply the peel penetrates and the type and strength of the peel used.

Laser

Laser skin resurfacing is one of the best ways to address many common skin concerns including moderate to deep lines and wrinkles, sunspots and age spots, rosacea, redness, acne scars. It can significantly improve skin tone, texture, and tightness.

Different types of lasers can target specific types of cells in the skin. There is an abundance of effective lasers available, but the correct treatment will be determined after a consult with a dermatologist.
