Ever since singer Lady Zamar went public with allegations of rape against former boyfriend Sjava, she has frequently found herself at the centre of cyberbullying attacks by those who don’t believe her claims.
This Monday was no different.
Lady Zamar, real name Yamikani Janet Banda, posted flattering photos of herself in a sunflower-inspired outfit on Twitter. Her post unleashed a barrage of hostile responses. These came from people who accuse her of lying about musician ex-boyfriend Jabulani ‘Sjava’ Hadebe having raped her.
The photos were captioned: “What’s popping?” That was enough to trigger some intensely harsh comebacks.

Some of the reactions to the photos were hard to stomach, even for people who are not fans of the songstress
These ranged from body shaming to comments about her mental state.
One user remarked: “Girls with thick thighs are dangerous in literally every way.”
Another tweeted: “I think you should give us another interview sobber [sic] this time…because that other one you say so many contridicting [sic] things…FreeSjava.”
The tweet refers to a tell-all video that Lady Zamar released on her Instagram Live last month.
In the video, she reiterates her claims: “Jabulani raped me. I did not give him consent. I asked him to stop.”
Sjava has repeatedly denied raping Lady Zamar and has also released a video giving his side of the story.
The award-winning musician’s video statement was also put up on his Instagram account.
“I also would like to apologise for not loving her the way she wished to be loved,” said Sjava.
Though the battle lines are drawn clearly between Lady Zamar’s fans and those backing Sjava, there are many people who think it’s better to not take sides and let the matter play itself out in court.
As much we want merit on Sjava and Lady zamar case, but the comments under her post are very inhumane and illogical. Most comments are mean and i saw someone saying her thighs makes him horny. We can do better than that. We need to be fair on each other. Lady zamar is human too!

Sjava is innocent until Lady Zamar press charges and the court finds Sjava guilty.
It’s the constitution not me

That is what we are trying to speak against. Men should not be found guilty and prosecuted before the court decision, and ladies should not be referred to as liars before court outcomes. Society should thread carefully because we were not there when all happened. Stop concluding!
