A list of Duchess Kate’s unusual eating habits has been leaked – and topping it is the fact that she loves to eat bananas with a knife and a fork!

She also loves the delicacy geoduck (a strange-looking underwater clam), watermelon salad, ceviche (made from fresh, raw fish) and olives by the gallon…interesting!

But Kate’s not the only one with strange tastes and habits.

Take a look at some of the most bizarre practises done by the British Royal Family…

Prince Charles – ironing his shoelaces!

The bougee-ist royal (apart from his mom) has to be Prince Charles, who loves to do everything prim and proper, right down to his shoelaces!

In a royal biography, staffer Brian Hoey revealed that their heir demands his shoelaces be ironed – before he puts on his shoes, and after he takes them off!

Who does that?

Prince Harry – constantly switching off the lights

Harry’s unusual energy-saving have left Meghan in the dark – quite literally!

And whilst the couple save money on their electricity bill, it may be a little too extreme for Meghan!

Harry said of his quirks in a royal doccie: “My wife certainly goes, ‘Well, why turn the lights off? It’s dark’”.

Duchess Meghan – wearing shoes TWO sizes too big

Meghan has been known to wear shoes much bigger than her petite feet.

But it may not be that bizarre after all. The logic behind Meghan’s fashion comes purely for the sake of comfort. Constantly being on your feet causes swelling and blisters, and the duchess has avoided all of this with this clever trick!

The only downside is that she has to pad her shoes with cotton wool to prevent her slipping out of them when she walks!

Prince William – picking up litter in public

More admirable than bizarre, William is said to have picked up this habit from his dad, Prince Charles who encouraged him to be mindful and considerate of the planet.

Seriously, does Will ever do anything wrong?

Princess Diana – sunbathing in the nude

Apart from storing her own blood in a refrigerator, Diana was also a big fan of nude sunbathing, which was particularly odd as she valued her privacy

The late princess would often sneak on to the palace rooftop to catch a little vitamin D  – in her birthday suit – but had to stop after staff painstakingly revealed that paparazzi could still see her using high-resolution binoculars!

Awkward!

Duchess Camilla – a regular bee venom facial!

Camilla’s earlier years of her love of the outdoors (whilst shunning sunscreen) as well as chain-smoking wreaked havoc on her skin. It’s almost been said that she never paid any attention to a skincare routine until she turned 50!

Now Camilla has had a change of heart and pays careful consideration to how she treats her skin – including going for regular bee venom facials, which critics claim is ‘the best non-surgical facelift money can buy’

The bizarre beauty treatment involves applying actual bee venom to your skin, and in so ‘tricking’ your body into believing your face has been stung!

Ouch!

The Queen – she has numbers for all her outfits

Perhaps the quirkiest of them all, Liz has a long list of bizarre habits including….

  • preferring ice balls to ice cubes (the latter make too much noise, she says)
  • never eating raspberries in public
  • opening the windows to her palace only at a certain time in the day
  • and numbering her outfits worn in public…so she won’t ever repeat them again!
