Pubs and restaurants in Britain have been open sine lockdown eased in July, but a sharp rise in Covid-19 infections has led to the government implementing new social distancing rules.
While it’s unlikely that the government will force a complete lockdown again, it is implementing stricter restrictions in areas of high infection. The government is also reportedly considering a national curfew.
On Wednesday, Johnson called on the country to ‘act’ in order to prevent a second lockdown. This was after the fourth consecutive day of over 2,000 new cases.
