“We are doing this for the good of the community…” This is what a group of teens from Hillcrest, Eerste River told the Daily Voice

Aged between 12 and 15-years-old, the teens took it upon themselves to start filling the potholes in their neighbourhood after witnessing the struggle of motorists trying to navigate the roads.

The local council had not fixed the potholes, and so the teens decided to use their lockdown time away from school to be proactive for their community.

Even now that they are back at school, they continue to fill potholes in their free time.
