Sugar, spice and everything nice

“It’s sweet but also spicy which is how many people describe me. I think that’s how women are, we have a duality, we are pretty, soft, sweet and feminine, but we’re also strong, powerful and capable,” says Boity.

Boity definitely hit the nail on the head with her one of a kind perfume; it is definitely feminine with subtle spicy and woody tones that smell just the way you would expect Boity, social media’s reigning clap-back queen to smell, gorgeous, glamorous and full of vibrant personality.

It’s just the tip of the iceberg

She’s carved a comfortable place for herself among Africa’s top female hip-hop artists, made her mark as an actress, presenter and reality TV Star, she’s a successful entrepreneur, and now Boity is making room for herself in the beauty business. Boity says this is just the beginning.

“I have the same 24 hours in my day as Beyoncé,” she jokes. “I can’t really say what’s next but there is still so much I want to do and as long as I’m still alive I’m going to keep doing more,” she says.

A fragrance by a powerful woman for powerful women

“Fragrance says a lot about you, it sometimes speaks about who you are before you even say a word,” says Boity. It is no wonder then that her favourite scents have always been the scents her mother uses.

“When I could first afford to I went out and bought the same perfume my mother used because I thought that is what a strong, powerful and confident woman smells like, that is what I want to be and that is how I want to smell, like my mom,” says Boity.

Now that she has her own scent Boity has something else to share with her mother and all the powerful women who’ll soon be making fragrant statements when ‘Boity Pink Sapphire’ officially goes on sale on 11 September.
