Whilst many have praised the feminist and liberating lyrics of Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion’s hit track WAP, other’s have harshly criticised it for being overly-sexual and provocative for women and youth
But whether you like it or not, WAP is not only a record-breaking single, but also one which is saving lives.
A TikTok video has gone viral showing medical personnel performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on patients using the beat of the song.
“WAP can be used as the rhythm song for chest compressions….Forget about using Staying Alive…WAP is more engaging,” claims the TikToker.
And the video has caught the eye of Cardi B herself, who posted it on her Instagram account.
“GET A BUCKET AND A MOP 🗣 swipe to see how WAP can save a life”, Cardi captioned the video as well as other clips of fans dancing along to it”.
