South African songbird Belinda Davids has officially made it to the semi-finals of popular TV show Britain’s Got Talent

The Port Elizabeth-born beauty sang her way to the Top 40 of the next round, after the show finally released the names of the semi-finalists after months of waiting due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The filming of the live series came to a grinding halt earlier this year after the outbreak of coronavirus, forcing producers to keep everything under wraps.

But now, Belinda has much to celebrate after making the shortlist.

Filming of show will resume on 5 September with a virtual audience and will follow with the next round as contestants either make it or break it into the finals

Sadly, Simon Cowell will not make any of the filming, as he recovers after breaking his back in a bicycle accident.

But nevertheless, the show will go on!

Watch Belinda’s powerful performance of a rendition of Whitney Houston’s One Moment In Time, which blew away the judges and secured her spot as a semi-finalist.
