Sho Madjozi, Lady Zamar, Judith Sephuma, Amanda Black and Aus Tebza will blow audiences away with a virtual music concert set to take place on Saturday, 29 August via livestream from Sun City, co-produced by Bonang

Women’s Month is going out with a bang this month with the Queens of SA concert starring the biggest and baddest female music stars in the business. And who better to host the fierce and feisty all-female show, than the country’s most hardest working and celebrated female celebrities – Bonang Matheba!

As part of the Nubian Music Festival – one of the country’s largest annual cultural & lifestyle festivals – the special segment is dedicated to all women, or should we say ‘queens’ of the country.

And ‘hostess with the mostess’ Bonang – fresh off the success of her TV special A Very Bonang Year which clinched the title of most-watched entertainment show in 2020 – is excited to helm, and co-produce the empowering and inspiring event.

Speaking exclusively to All4Women, Bonang says women should be supporting women, not only during Women’s Month, but all year round

“For women to rise up, make their voices heard and achieve their goals as well as the rewards of their success is not easy. We have to work 10 times harder and be 10 times more motivated. This acknowledgement is not just for ‘Women’s Month’ but for every day of the year that women are striving to better themselves and the country.

“It’s also important for the next generation of young women to see accomplished and powerful women supporting each other and cheering each other on. When women come together great things happen,” said Bonang.

‘A Very Bonang Year’ becomes the most watched entertainment show of 2020!

Bonang also believes the mantra of the concert – which is all about girl power – will shine through

She added: “This event brings together a group of magnificent female artists who all in their own talented ways contribute to the richness of South African culture. To be able to celebrate the value and significance of women’s strength, determination and creativity at the height of Women’s Month is a great honour.

“Livestream music events are the future of entertainment, which is what motivated me to co-produce this virtual concert.”

The Queens of SA Music concert will take place on 29 August 2020 at 3pm.
