Opulent Beaute is giving away a wig as well as a voucher for nails for Women’s Month

Hair is one of the most important aspects of womanhood. Here are some tricks to help you care for your premium hair extensions courtesy of Opulent Beaute, a JHB based beauty boutique. It was founded in 2016 with the aim of making sure all women feel beautiful and confident with their beauty especially premium hair lovers.

Trick number one for the ladies is conditioning

Using a very oily conditioner, will help you keep your hair looking slick and ready. This deep conditioning treatment will prevent tangling and will keep that hair straight and nicely layered. A step further for some would be to apply some leave-in conditioner once it is completely dry and well deep conditioned.

Tip number two is try air drying

Air drying is the best way to get your extensions dry. Never blow dry your hair as it will make your hair tangle and it ruins the extensions. A simple way could be simply wrapping the hair up in a towel, and letting it sit dry while you do other chores or things.

Tip number three is to avoid heat

Bear in mind a blow dryer produces heat and depending on the kind of hair, heat is not a good idea unless the hair came in a package labelled ‘like human hair’. Then you can straighten it, but on a very low temperature. Failure to do that will lead to you burning your hair and that will not be good.

Use bristle brush to remove knots

Once your hair is clean, dry and smells great, try to use a bristle brush to remove the knots from the wash and the towel wrap. Apply some leave-in conditioner to help you detangle the knots easily. Then apply oil-free sheen or shine spray made specifically for that kind of hair you have to prevent it from looking dull and all kinds of dry.

Hair ready to wear or to be put in storage

When you have done all the above you are ready to wear your hair or for some to put it in storage. So if you are not putting it on then and there you are going to store it in a very nice box. We suggest a box because plastic bags tend to have a lot of moisture and this leads to humid conditions leading to the hair having a bad smell and that is not good.

Win one wig to the value of R1 900 and a voucher for nails worth R300.
