Duchess Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney has marked her return to Instagram following backlash over her comments surrounding ‘white privilege’

The Canadian fashion guru was dragged on social media after she hit back at black YouTuber Sasha Exeter who called out high profile people over their lack of accountability amid anti-racism protests in the US.

Sasha alleged that Jessica took offense to her stance and threatened to ‘ruin’ her reputation in the fashion industry. Following the scandal, Jessica was axed from her reality TV show and several other TV appearances.

Jessica took to her page to issue a public apology and revealed that she would be taking a hiatus to “reflect, learn and listen”.

Now, the mom of three has returned to post a birthday tribute to her 10-year-old twin sons Brian and John, who served as ring bearers at Meghan and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding.

Born to a white father Thomas Markle and black mother Doria Ragland, Meghan often felt ‘torn’ between the two races, claims the tell-all.

In one telling incident, the biographer claims Meghan was forced to choose between her black and white heritage in a school consensus.

“You could only choose one, but that would be to choose one parent over the other – and one half of myself over the other,” Meghan was quoted as saying in the book.
