According to the South African Weather Service, a well-developed cold front is expected to affect the Western and Northern Cape provinces from late Friday evening to Sunday…

The public and/or small stock farmers are advised that snow, very cold conditions, gale force winds, rough seas and significant rainfall can be expected.

1. Gauteng:

Fine and cool.

2. Mpumalanga:

Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine in the west.

3. Limpopo:

Morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, but fine in the west and south.

4. North-West Province:

Fine and cool.

5. Free State:

Fog patches in the morning in the extreme northeast, otherwise fine and cool.

6. Northern Cape:

Morning frost over the southern high ground, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

It will become cloudy along the coast with fog by the evening.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly, becoming light by the evening.

7. Western Cape:

Fine and cool to warm. It will become cloudy and cold with light rain in the south-west in the evening.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong westerly to north-westerly but moderate southerly to south-easterly north of Cape Columbine.

The expected UVB sunburn index:Low

8. Western Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Fine and cool

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate westerly.

9. Eastern Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Fine and cool

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northeasterly freshening in the afternoon.

10. Kwazulu-Natal:

Partly cloudy with morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise fine and warm, but cool in the south.

The wind along the coast will be light westerly to north-westerly at first, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
