Norma Gigaba – the woman at the centre of an alleged domestic dispute with husband and former cabinet minister Malusi – has broken her silence on social media

The businesswoman, who was arrested on charges of malicious damages to property and crimen injuria after allegedly keying her husband’s G-Wagon last month, has spoken out to thank her fans and followers for their support.

In light of #WomenCrushWednesday, a popular social media phrase praising women for various reason, Norma revealed she was ‘crushing’ on herself in light of recent events.

The post has received thousands of likes and comments, including those from her celebrity friends Moshe Ndiki, Lasizwe and others.

“We love you Norma. Stay strong”, wrote one follower, whilst another added: “We’re behind you”.

A third added: “Not only are we rooting for you – we are praying sisi”.

Meanwhile, women’s advocacy group Wise 4 Afrika have pledged their support to Norma in light of Women’s Month

The NGO claims they are in the process of filing an application to question the Hawks involvement in Norma’s arrest last Friday, slating the move as “intimidation”.
