CBD oil is undoubtedly one of the most on-trend natural medicines right now
With its popularity, there is also a lot of confusion around how it works and why it works.
We’ve done some research and our article reveals a few truths behind CBD myths.
Is CBD oil the same as Hemp seed oil?
Hemp seed oil and CBD oil are very different products. CBD oil is produced using the stalks, leaves, and flowers of the hemp plant. These contain a higher concentration of CBD, which is a compound with numerous potential health benefits. CBD oil is mainly used for medicinal purposes.
Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, is extracted from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still contain omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and nutritious antioxidant content. Hemp seed oil is used in the production of cosmetics, clothing and materials.
Is it true that overdosing on CBD oil can get you high?
The difference between Hemp and Marijuana is the concentration of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is the psychoactive component of marijuana that makes you ‘high’.
The chemical make-up of CBD oil extracted from the Hemp part of the plant contains little to no THC.
Instead, CBD (cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive and known for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-anxiety properties.
ADCO CBD products are free from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), so they will not leave you feeling ‘high’.
Can you become addicted to CBD oil? Is it safe?
CBD oil does not contain THC, the psychoactive component (‘high’) of marijuana. Consequently, research has successfully proven that CBD oil does not have any potential for abuse or dependence. With over 60% of consumers saying that they get successful relief for a number of medical conditions from CBD, including pain, anxiety and depression, CBD oil is suitable for use by adults of all ages.
As is the case with all medicines, natural and otherwise, you should always consult your doctor before starting a new course of medication.
The right CBD oil is not just a matter of price
Many things are determined by affordability, but when it comes to medication, it’s important to look beyond the price and ascertain the quality and contents of your intended purchase.
When choosing the right CBD oil for you, it is important to make sure the right checks have been done.
