Former Our Perfect Wedding host Kayise Ngqula has launched her YouTube channel with her very first episode dedicated to her late husband Farai Sibanda who died in fatal car crash a year ago
‘Kayise on life after dark: How I lost my husband’ debuted on Tuesday detailing the horrific series of events that transpired that fateful evening on 22 June 2019.
Kayise was also in the car during the accident but escaped with serious injuries.
The couple had tied the knot months earlier and had also welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
In her heartbreaking first video – which debuted on International Widow’s Day – Kayise reflects on meeting Farai, their unbelievable love story and the tragic turn of events.
It’s hard not to shed a tear or two watching the outspoken media darling relive one of the darkest moments in her life.
Watch the emotional video below:
‘After Dark’ – a talk-show based series – will cover a variety of topics Kayise has personally experience; from grief to healing to picking up the pieces of her life and moving forward.
“I want to reach anyone and everyone who has been through trials and tribulations and is seeking ways to pull through. I want to reach people who can share stories of triumph of how they did it, how they found light after darkness. I want it to bring hope to people who didn’t
think they were strong enough to make it when life threw troubles at them. I am in fact hoping this show will touch all people from all walks of life,” she adds.
The video and launch of the channel and talk show comes a day after she shared an emotional post on Instagram marking the one year anniversary of Farai’s death.
She wrote alongside a teaser of her YouTube channel: “The battle to get to shore or a place of safety has been a resilient fight. However calm has now prevailed in its resounding reassurance that I have won the battle to live. I am finally ready to tell my story…”
