Dressed to scale a perilous peak, a grandmother-of-six expertly picks her way up and down the sheer three metre beam…
She travels from her first-floor landing into the attic, before adjusting her head torch, ready for a spot of caving beneath her double bed.
Now 71, Judith Plowman from Glossop, Derbyshire began climbing three years ago after being inspired by her son who was passionate about the sport. She took to the rocks like a fish to water, and has been scaling peaks ever since.
Now living in isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK, Plowman’s determined to keep up her favourite hobby. So she and her son have made a plan and turned their home into a makeshift climbing and caving centre.
