Safaris aren’t just about having an awesome holiday in the African bush. The funds generated by tourism go towards vital conservation work …
In order to continue protecting their wildlife, and highlighting the exquisite natural heritage in South Africa during the lockdown, and coronavirus pandemic, many safari parks and game reserves began offering regular ‘sofa safaris’. While these were initiated in April 2020, many of the reserves have continued to produce spectacular ‘sofa safaris’, gaining an appreciative audience around the world.
Not only are they a great educational experience for adults and kids, they also help generate donations to help support the important conservation work that the parks do. Rhino poachers aren’t staying home during lockdown, so those who protect them still need to be on high alert!
Here’s how you can explore some of SA’s wildest parks by taking a virtual safari every day of the week! #VirtualSafari
