Keep your diet simple if you want to manage your weight better.

One of the best and easiest ways to do this is to consume more whole foods and avoid as many of the processed foods as possible.

Start by writing down all the foods that you eat daily. This list should include all meals as well as snacks and beverages that you may have consumed between mealtimes. Create a column on the extreme right hand side of the page and put a tick where you have consumed whole foods. Similarly, place a cross where you have eaten processed or junk foods. Note that junk foods are usually processed.

Check to see whether you have more ticks than crosses. If you have more crosses, it shows that you have been eating more processed foods. Consider cutting down and eating more nutritious whole foods instead.

Whole foods are generally more filling and often hold fewer calories than junk foods. Keep your diet simple. It can help you to maintain a healthy weight.
