Always stop if you experience any discomfort or pain and remember that the more fit you are, the more comfortable you will feel when exercising.
Note that, if you are beginner, it will take you a little extra time to perform the exercise properly. For example, if you have never performed a squat before, use a chair to help you learn the correct squatting form.
Only consider doing the squat jumps if you are able to perform squats properly first.
