“Hi fam. I want to play a part in helping our government with the fight against CORONAVIRUS. Starting this Friday, I’ll be volunteering my time for free working at one of the local hospitals at their COVID 19 units during the 21 days #Lockdown. #AnswerTheCall,” he tweeted.

According to SowetanLIVE, Dr Tumi will be based at Tembisa Hospital’s specialised Covid-19 unit

The 38-year-old added that he is happy to assist doctors who will be “overworked and overwhelmed” during the period.

“They need all the help they can get.”
