Is it a raincoat? Is it a jacket? No, it’s a windbreaker
Windbreakers are a perfect change of season throw over because they’re light enough not to heat you up in warm weather but also waterproof so they’ll protect you from light rain and windy weather.
Here are some of our favourite windbreakers for every seasonal change this year.
Not so basic black
A black windbreaker doesn’t have to be a throwback to your school days in those awful shapeless jackets. Function doesn’t mean the absence of style, and you get both from this Reebok windbreaker.
It might seem pricey, but when you consider the years of use you’ll get out of it, you’ll realise this is an investment worth making.
Since the main aim of a windbreaker isn’t to keep you warm, why not go for a super trendy cropped one?
Inspired by ‘80s style, colours and structure but streamlined for modern fashionistas, this windbreaker is a great choice for the trendsetter.
Clear as day
Having to cover a well thought out outfit with a jacket should be considered a crime. This clear windbreaker is great when you have a great outfit and just want to show it.
There’s a shade of pink at the height of fashion with every season. Lately, blush, sorbet pink and other paler shades of pink have been high on the trends list. This side-striped windbreaker has all the style and looks of a designer brand, but it’s priced well enough to be worth buying even as a passing trend.
This longer length windbreaker from Puma provides great coverage from the rain and is also our favourite kind of sporty. If we weren’t already in love with the waist clenching trimming, this jacket probably would have had us with its hood.
