Milan fashion week is done and dusted. Here are the trends we loved…

Fashion month is almost over and we have loved it all. We’re in Paris now but Milan was, as usual, setting trends that we will all be wearing in the future.

Some of the hottest celebrities including Yara Shahidi, Lucy Hale and Tessa Thompson were in attendance.

This week we shopped the trends that captured our attention

The minimalist maxi

Plain and simple, no frills and no fuss maxi dresses were on show at Bottega Veneta and Jil Sander. Again the palette of these dresses was mostly neutrals and muted colours.

Fringe benefits

Once again fringe details ruled the runways. Prada, Jil Sander and Bottega Veneta were all about frills.

Nutty for neutrals

Whatever neutral is for you, be it tan, oat, toffee, beige, camel or caramel, the likes of Drome and Salvatore Ferragamo had you well represented at Milan fashion week.

The bigger the sleeve…

Big and bold over the top sleeves were all over last year and it looks like they will be even more mainstream this year. Moschino showed a Marie Antoinette inspired collection, exciting sleeves and all and Max Mara, Fendi and Annakiki followed suit.

Innerwear as outerwear

Gucci and Fendi showed how lingerie can be worn as everyday outer wear in sexy, super stylish collections.
