The first episode of The Bachelor South Africa debuted last week where the star of the show Marc Buckner was introduced to 22 lovely ladies as his journey of love begins
Unfortunately, Amor Kruger and Michaela Liebenberg didn’t land up getting a rose during the first cocktail evening and 20 ladies continue their journey with Marc.
However, the rose ceremony was a little unconventional as this season introduced a special white rose – and we’ve got the scoop!
While 26-year-old vegan activist and boxer Silke Geugis from Cape Town caught Marc’s attention on the red carpet and was ultimately given the first impression rose, it was the white rose that got the country talking.
Marc called up bombshell dancer Pasha first during the cocktail party and handed her this mysterious flower, a first on the local series
“I was excited but then I’m nervous at the same time, because I have no idea what the white rose means,” Pasha said. In the throw-forward at the end of the episode, host Jason Greer told her that it would give her some sort of power.
Now, M-Net Head of Publicity Lani Lombard explains that: “The white rose is an exciting new element to the second season of the show and, as we expected, it created loads of suspense and drama and commotion among the ladies.
“Don’t be surprised if it turns out to have even more significance than the first impression rose. Why did Marc decide to give it to Pasha, and not to any of the other women? And for how long will she be able to keep it? You will have to watch the next episode!”
Guess we’ll have to find out more during this week’s episode this Thursday at 19h30 on M-Net.
