You may have noticed that we have a thing for drama; we love a great movie, we love girl power and we love fashion. The Oscar award-winning movie, Bombshell has all four in spades

The only distraction from the constant tension and feeling of real and relatable discomfort is the wardrobe. Without taking away the importance of the global stand against sexual harassment and gender-based violence, we can’t help but appreciate the wardrobe in this movie.

Although it’s hard to choose just one scene, one of our favourites is the scene in the elevator where Megyn Kelly, Gretchen Carlson and Kayla Pospisil have the most awkward elevator ride towards their abuser.

The tension is as thick and rich as dark chocolate mousse and amid all that decadence you can’t help but notice how impeccably dressed all three women are.

It’s not easy to pull off feminine business-formal elegantly and this scene gives us exactly that in three very different styles.

Bright is right

Traditionally, office colours are dull and diluted. The bright pink shift dress is definitely a look we are inspired by. A pop of colour can brighten the office and your day.

Spruce up typical office wear (which can be boring) with colours you love.

Grey doesn’t have to be dull or boring

It’s traditional but it doesn’t have to be typical. Going for muted colours shouldn’t mean wearing boring clothes. Charlize Theron’s Megyn Kelly wears a well fitted and fashionably cut grey dress.

When you wear faded or pale colours, the cut of your outfit is absolutely everything.

Pops of colour

Get the best of both worlds by wearing pops of colour on basic black. Margot Robbie as Kayla Pospisil is a stunner in this basic black dress in a simple cut with pops of red detail.

Red and black are a classic combination and the minimal red detail on the dress keep the drama of the outfit moderate. Pops of red can easily push your outfit over the top. Keep your colour minimal and simple to keep your look business-like but also interesting.
