The body positivity influencer confessed that she joined the dating app a few years ago and deactivated her account almost immediately.

“I remember when I joined Tinder and niggaz were like ‘Thickleeyonce is it really you? Wow what‘s a girl like you doing here’. I deleted it immediately lmao!” Thickleeyonce tweeted.

The plus-size model confessed that she felt “defeated” after receiving the comments, but found the experience hilarious.

“Lmao I was so weak and defeated,” she wrote.

When one of her followers told her Tinder is a ‘ghetto’ place to find a partner, Thickleeyonce explained why she attempted online dating in the first place.

“My friend met her husband there so I was ready to risk it all,” she said about her reasons for joining.

Tinder didn’t work out for her, but Thickleeyonce eventually did find love

“Been in a relationship for almost 3 years now,” she wrote.

Thickleeyonce’s Tinder experience might have been a bust, but dancer Nkateko ‘Takkies’ Maswanganye found the perfect man on the app

She met her now-husband, Chris Dinwiddy on Tinder!

“We chatted for a few weeks on the app and then I dropped off! I was testing him to see if he was serious and then a week later he was back in contact… things moved quickly as we have very similar personalities and we just clicked from day one,” Takkies told The Citizen in an interview.

Takkies and Chris tied the knot in 2017. The welcomed their first child together – a daughter named Sana – in January 2018.

The couple is currently expecting their second child.
