Lower your risk of developing food poisoning by paying more attention when doing the grocery shopping
Here are a few things that you can do before buying any food products, to help ensure that you are getting good quality products.
Inspect packaging before buying
Always inspect the packaging on food products before buying it. Packaging information should be clearly visible and readable. For example, you should be able to clearly read the nutritional label or ingredient section on the packaging.
The packaging should not have been tampered with. Boxes and packets should be sealed and not eaten into by insects or rodents. Similarly, canned foods should not be damaged or rusty.
