Being house-proud. The word doesn’t necessarily mean being that person who’s always got their nose stuck in other people’s gardens and homes, worrying about the length of a stranger’s lawn…
It can also simply mean you love your space, and are willing to care for it correctly. A clean home is, after all, a happy home.
What do people characterise as a ‘house-proud’ home? People in the UK were asked the question – and here’s what they had to say:
- Dishes managed: either cleaned or in the dishwasher
- Clutter contained: making use of smart storage options to keep places looking clutter-free
- Basic cleaning: No one is that fussed if you can eat your food off the floor, but a home that’s had a quick spruce-up of dusting, vacuuming/sweeping and ‘putting away’ is attractive to the eye
- Grass cut: Nothing makes a home look dingy as fast as a ragged lawn- but a quick pass with the mower makes it all look better.
A few small tasks can make an impressive difference in your home. What jobs are you going to tackle today?
