How can constipation be caused?

You can become constipated if you do not include an adequate amount of fibre as well as water in your diet. Pregnant women may experience it due to their higher levels of the hormone progesterone. The growing baby also places a pressure on a women’s bowels making it difficult to pass stools. Taking iron supplements sometimes brings about constipation too.

Exercise regularly

Exercising regularly will help you to maintain good bowel movements. You do not have to go out and engage in strenuous activities to achieve this. Consider building simple physical activities into your day if you are not a very active person.

Go for a jog or run on the beach, ride your bicycle in the park or simply play a sport with your child. The more active you are, the more beneficial it will be to your overall health.
