JOHANNESBURG, January 22 (ANA) – South African telecoms operator MTN on Wednesday announced it has launched dedicated data bundles for short-form video sharing app TikTok ranging from R5 for a daily bundle of 100MB to R50 for a monthly bundle of 1GB…

The move comes after MTN chief executive officer Godfrey Motsa last year promised subscribers cheaper bundles for TikTok, which has surpassed 1.5 billion downloads and 500 million active users worldwide, according to DataReportal.

“We have heard our customers and hope that the launch of these bundles will enable them to make the most of what is arguably the fastest growing social platform amongst the youth,” MTN corporate affairs executive Jacqui ‘O Sullivan said.

“We are committed to providing products and solutions that resonate with our customers, and the introduction of our TikTok bundles is another such offering.”
