It’s said to be the new neutral for 2020, so here are some tips on how to decorate with navy…

The Pantone Colour Institute has a 20-year tradition of announcing its Colour of the Year and paint companies have followed suit. So far, trends indicate that 2020 will be leaning towards shades of blue – particularly navy –  muted green and splashes of very soft pink.

Navy is not just a maritime colour. It symbolises confidence, power and authority and in nature, it’s reminiscent of the night sky.

“Navy pairs well with a variety of soft, feminine shades including grey and pink. Opt for Dulux’s Rich Navy or Martian Skies if you prefer a lighter touch,” says Estelle Nagel of Gumtree South Africa.
