Windsor Castle is bedecked with Christmas decorations. Among the highlights is a 20 foot (6 metre) fir tree and a dining table laid with silver-gilt pieces…
The display also pays homage Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in celebration of the royal couple’s 200th anniversary this year.
In the State Dining Room, the table has been laid with silver-gilt pieces, which are still used by the Queen today.
Festive decorations will be spread throughout the State Apartments and Semi-State Apartments, the private rooms of George IV that are only open to visitors during the winter months.
The Christmas displays are open to visitors until 5 January 2020.
