Keep the holiday focus off food if you want to keep the weight down.

Many people think predominantly of food when the mention of the holiday season pops into their mind. Are you one of them? What are you focusing on this holiday?

Focusing too much on food over the holidays can make you pile of the calories. Eating large portion sizes, overindulging in desserts and even snacking when you do not really need to, can all increase your calorie count.

Bear in mind that there are loads of fun and exciting activities that you could engage in during the festive season. You do not necessarily have to make food the central activity of your holiday. Go out with friends, play sport, help others in need and have fun. Focus on burning those calories instead of piling more on.

Consult your doctor

Always remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new exercise regime or making intense changes to your current one – especially if you suffer from any medical conditions and for some reason are required not to place your body or yourself under any form of stress or strain.
