Twenty-two-year-old Sibongiseni Nkosi lost his mother at the age of three. He began doing drugs in grade seven, and ended up living on the streets…

However, Nkosi was given a second chance at life when he was in the right place at the right time, willing and ready to help Vic Campher whose car had broken down.

Nkosi was on the street when he saw Campher struggling with his vehicle that had broken down in a ‘dangerous’ area. According to Campher, Nkosi ran over to help, “no questions asked”. He was willing to step in and do what he could to get the broken-down car back to Campher’s dealership.

Following this good deed, Campher, who is the MD at the Tom Campher Volvo dealership in Johannesburg, decided to try to help Nkosi get a job. He found him a trainee position at a local Engen petrol station.
