The festive season is knocking at the door, which means very soon we will be partying and enjoying delicious Christmas food

If you don’t want to come out of the festive season five kilogrammes heavier, then you need to be careful not to overindulge during the season.

These celebrity tips will help motivate you over the next several weeks.

Sbahle Mpisane: Don’t slack on your workout routine

Many people use the festive season as an excuse to ditch their healthy eating habits and cut down on their workouts. But you should not throw your healthy choices completely out the window this festive season.

If Sbahle Mpisane can keep up with her workouts with a leg brace, then you can stick to your gym routine in December!

Working out will also help you keep off that extra weight on days when you do indulge in some Christmas pudding.

Connie Ferguson: Exercise is good for your mental health

The festive season is seen as a merry time, but many people feel lonely and depressed during the ‘party season’. Exercise can help you feel good – something Connie Ferguson knows all too well.

“I think it’s important to feel good, and exercise makes you feel good… I work out four to five times a week; the other days are my rest days. And people are discovering that it’s not just about physical health, it’s actually about mental health [as well]. The combos that I do are long; they’re great for mental fitness as well,” she told Women’s Health in an interview.

Thembi Seete: Don’t fall for fad diets

It easy to try any and every diet to lose weight during the festive season, but it is one of the biggest mistakes you can make.

Thembi Seete revealed on social media earlier that she was once obsessed with being skinny and tried all sorts of crazy things to stay slim.

“I then decided to drink diet pills and experimented on crash diets by starving myself daily, which worked because I lost the weight but yet I felt like I was dying. I felt weak most of the time, my heart rate was high, felt constantly tired, sleepy and my concentration span was short. I then went back to my bad diet habits because of my cravings and guess what? I gained the weight back 10 times more than before and this time my bad habits affected my skin,” she wrote.

She decided to change her lifestyle by adopting healthier eating habits instead of trying fad diets.

Hi Guys Welcome to my Fitness page 🧘🏽‍♀️🤽🏽‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️⛹🏽‍♀️⛹🏽‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️💃🏾💃🏾 I hope this page inspires you🙏🏾💃🏾 For many years and to this day I’m still getting questions from my friends, family and fans on how i remain young. How do I keep up with day-to-day pressures and yet i still have so much energy. @somizi himself thought I got a surrogate to carry my child because I don’t look like I was ever pregnant. And this time he wasn’t joking. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Growing up I was obsessed with the idea of being skinny. My best friend at the time was pretty tiny, she would wear anything and everything, from to croptops to short skirts (Aaliyah look) and she would still look great effortlessly. Me on the other hand I would wear my crop tops with a bra and short skirt with tights because I was ashamed of my weight. I then decided to drink diet pills and experimented on crash diets by starving myself daily, which worked because i lost the weight but yet i felt like i was dying. I felt weak most of the time, my heart rate was high, felt constantly tired, sleepy and my concentration span was short. I then went back to my bad diet habits because of my gravings and guess what? I gained the weight back 10 times more than before and this time my bad habits affected my skin. This is called a yoyo diet if I’m correct. So I decided it’s time i change my lifestyle and adopt a healthier living habit because i was putting my own life in danger How many of you can relate? #healthyeating #fitness #energy #life #gym #stayinshape #staystrong
