“The other day, I had a moment of transcendence just fully taking in the scent of my shower gel. The pleasure of the warm water and the privilege of cleanliness filled me to the point of tears… although I’m a big proponent of formal meditation – for the discipline, joy, and calm it brings – I’m moving into an even greater phase of being fully present all the time… The outside world is constantly trying to convince you you’re not enough. But you don’t have to take the bait. Meditation helps you resist,” she wrote on her website.

Skolopad: Meditating to make important life decisions

Skolopad shocked her fans in 2017 when she shared pictures of herself meditating in the nude.

Shashi Naidoo: Meditating to find peace

Model Shashi Naidoo travelled to India after her marriage to business Marc Sandler ended in late 2011. She spent four months in Mumbai, rented an apartment in the area, and practised Bikram yoga every day. She also visited an ashram to meditate.

“Everyone goes to India to find themselves. It does have the healing element. I had not felt at peace for a long time,” Shashi told the Sunday Times in a June 2012 interview.
