“Exercise for Weight Loss” is an article series detailing the most successful exercise strategies that can be used to assist in speeding up the weight loss process, and help you end-up with a sleek, toned physique once your body weight gets down to your goal-weight.
Why is strength training so important?
What is your ultimate lifestyle goal? Do you want to be more healthy, live longer, enjoy your life, and live with vitality until the end? Or do you just want to look “okay” in a bathing costume?
If you’ve been dieting all these years just to look good in a bikini, maybe it’s time to change your approach? If your past efforts haven’t been successful, or long-lasting, maybe a new goal with a completely different programme is something you should focus on… Just a thought?!
If you REALLY want to change your body, strength is the way to go
I’m not talking about becoming a body builder. I’m talking about toning your arms, your legs, strengthening your back, and becoming a stronger, healthier, happier version of yourself overall.
The journey to building strength also burns calories, and contributes towards weight loss – BONUS!
So where do you begin?
You don’t need a personal trainer, or any pre-qualifications to start strength training. Just do some research on the internet. Browse YouTube for videos on beginner squats, beginner pushups, and progress at your own pace.
If you feel ‘weird’ in the weights section, why not hire a personal trainer for a few sessions until you’re comfortable with the equipment, and your technique.
Try it! I know you can do it!
