Idols SA runner-up Snenhlanhla ‘Sneziey’ Msomi has come out guns blazing to defend herself and her grandmother from nasty online claims

Instead of enjoying her success on the singing competition, Sneziey has had to address rumours that she owns a tokoloshe.

Yes, you read right! Some social media users have accused the singer and her granny of being evil.

Me and my gogo are not evil. I don’t have a tokoloshe and my gogo doesn’t own one. I’m a praying woman!” she told the Daily Sun.

Sneziey has had to deal with online bullying for weeks. Idols fans incorrectly claimed that fellow contestant Viggy Qwabe quit the show as a result of her bullying. Viggy announced her departure in October after her twin Virginia was given the boot.

Both Idols SA officials and Sneziey denied the bullying claims.

The Qwabe twins’s father set the record straight, saying that he advised Viggy to leave because the show is “rigged”.

Idols SA denied those claims as well.

Sneziey told the Daily Sun that she was “flooded with hateful” comments after the twins’ departure.

“I expected Viggy and Virginia to defend and protect me, but they kept quiet. They didn’t even bother to contact me,” she said.

Sneziey added that she wants cyberbullies to leave her grandmother out of their hateful comments

She is expected to travel back to her hometown of Durban this week. While she is happy to see her family again, Sneziey said she does not know what to expect.

“I just hope I don’t get killed at the airport because people have shown me nothing but hate,” she told the Daily Sun.
