Protect yourself and others

It is not always easy to protect yourself from germs. For example, if you are taking care of your young child, you may be exposed to their illness for a relatively long time depending of course on the nature of the illness and the duration of time that their body may need to recover. Teach your children about gently covering their mouth when coughing and using a tissue when sneezing. Their hands as well as your own should be washed thoroughly to limit the spread of germs.

If you are ill and are highly contagious, avoid infecting others around you. Chat to your boss about the option to work from home if you are able to and if it is possible.
