Kabelo Mabalane has gone from troubled Kwaito star to healthy fitness fanatic, and now it seems he is ready to launch a new chapter in his life… as an ordained pastor

Kabelo has well and truly turned his life around, especially when you consider how far he has come from the darkest days of his career.

The ex-TKZee frontman has been very open about his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, but he has been equally candid about his journey to sobriety. Having marked 17 years of sobriety this year, the father of two is a testament to anybody who has wanted to change their life for the better.

Little did we know, however, that Kabelo was planning another big move behind the scenes.

At the beginning of this week, accompanied by his wife Gail, Kabelo paid a visit to his church but it wasn’t an ordinary Sunday visit. After undergoing pastoral training behind the scenes and passing his assessments, Kabelo revealed to his followers that he was ready to begin his new life as a pastor.

He described himself as “invincible” when he wrote,

The congratulatory messages poured in from Kabelo’s followers and judging by the replies, Kabelo was overwhelmed by the good wishes. We couldn’t help but laugh at his fans’ jokes about the pastor’s potential new nicknames:
