Vegan diets are all the rage these days for both ethical and weight-loss reasons

Celebrities have also been trying the diet to help them get into shape.

While some try veganism for a month, others have made it a part of their lifestyle.

Here’s a look at celebrities who have shed their extra kilos with the help of a plant-based diet…

Adrienne Bailon

Adrienne Bailon embarked on a strictly vegan diet in 2019 to help her with Hashimoto, an autoimmune disease. The The Real co-host said the diet also helped her lose weight. She was able to fit into her wedding dress again – three years after she walked down the aisle.

“I had followed a vegan diet before and what I did was eat a bunch of carbs and I gained a bunch of weight… You have to do plant-based; it’s salads, avocados, green juices. In the mornings, I love a great vegan protein shake. I wanted to make it a lifestyle this time around,” she said told her co-hosts recently.

Adrienne added that she also does 45 minutes of cardio every morning.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé revealed in her Netflix documentary, Homecoming, that her ‘22 Days Nutrition’ vegan diet helped her get back in shape after giving birth to her twins, Rumi and Sir Carter.

“I’m back on the stage after giving birth to twins. I was a woman that felt like my body was not mine,” she said while rehearsing for her epic Coachella performance.

She weighed around 79 kilograms before starting the diet and by the end of it she was able to fit into her iconic ‘Wonder Woman’ costume again.

Leah Michele

Actress Leah Michele credits her vegan diet for helping her stay fit and healthy. She told Us magazine she likes to keep her home “completely vegan” so that she only reaches for healthy foods when she needs a snack.

“I keep my home completely vegan, which I think is one of the most important things. If you keep your home healthy, then, when you’re reaching for snacks, you’re not reaching for bad things. So, I stock it with fruits and vegetables,” she told the publication.
