Battery Park serves as the gateway to the Mother City’s canals, winding through the Waterfront district…
It is described as a “new urban park that forms the gateway to the V&A Waterfront”. The canals around the park provide a link between the V&A Waterfront and the Cape Town International Convention Centre through water taxis that ferry passengers between both points.
Did you know that you can take a waterbike ride, stand-up-paddle, or even a hitch a lift on a water taxi around the canals?
There’s some stunning street art to be found under the bridges, and you may even spot a cormorant, Egyptian goose, or other wildlife on the way.
