We don’t all wear foundation, or concealer, or primer, but the one skincare product that EVERYONE has to use in the harsh South African sun is sunscreen…

The women who make up the All4Women beauty team all have different skin types. We also might want different things from our sunscreen – whether it’s easy application, instant protection, no parabens, or a product that doesn’t harm marine life.

These are our favourites – and why we love them:

Zethu loves Techniblock because it’s family-friendly, comes in easy spray-on application, and doesn’t leave a blue tinge on dark skin.

Claire’s vote goes to Eucerin Sun SPF50+ Gel-Creme Oil Control Dry Touch because it absorbs quickly, leaves no weird residues, and you can wear it under make-up. It also helps fight shine, making it perfect for oily or acne-prone skin. Long-lasting matte finish.

Tamlyn gave her vote to any sun products from Vichy. Vichy Capital Soleil SPF50 Cream 50ml is a velvety soft sunscreen that provides maximum protection from the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. It also helps improve skin radiance and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots.

Get that golden summer glow without going into the sun

And if you want to spend less time in the sun this summer, but still show off a golden tan, then Skinny Tan is the solution. Sasha’s favourites are the Skinny Tan Moisture Mousse (R450) with guarana for firming, and the Coconut Water Tanning Mist (R400) because summer should always smell like coconuts!

All the products in their new range are vegan-friendly, not tested on animals, nourishing, hydrating, and 100% streak-free. There are even some that can be worn outside, to accelerate tanning – safely.
