Who doesn’t have work stress? Very few people have the luxury of working in a job where everything is constantly cool and calm.

Don’t despair, though â?? there’s good news: most of the time, this kind of job stress is manageable. We can find ways to nip that nasty stress sucker in the bud.

All it takes is a little mind shift. Instead of thinking that your life revolves around your job, start thinking that your job and life revolve around YOU.

That’s right… get a little selfish. It’s the only way you’re going to shake that stress away.

4 Ways to manage stress

These might sound a little obvious, but believe you me, they work. Choose one or two, or if you’re really feeling determined, make all four your daily stress-busters!

  1. Meditate. Even if you have to lock yourself in the work’s toilet cubicle for five minutes and breathe in and out slowly.

  2. Do yoga. Yoga is incredible for stress relief. Here’s a great online video for beginners.

  3. Talk it out. Talking to a friend or a family member about stress and anxiety has a way of making us feel better, and putting things into perspective.

  4. Exercise. Physical activity is phenomenal for blasting away stress. And when you do something you love, you’ll find that you look forward to doing it every day.
