Veteran actress Vatiswa Ndara has confirmed her exit from Muvhango but poured cold water over swirling speculation around the reasons

Vatiswa found herself making headlines yet again after Sunday Sun reported that she was allegedly given the boot from the SABC 2 soapie for “constantly questioning everything”.

The tabloid stated that several sources claimed that Vatiswa’s questioning nature ruffled feathers on set

“Vatiswa is a professional and is used to doing things according to the book. But she was at odds with some people and questioned many things. Her questioning of things was interpreted as her questioning other people’s authority,” the source was quoted as saying.

However, speaking to TshisLIVE Vatiswa moved swiftly to clear the air.

She admitted that she had parted ways with the production, after she was called into a meeting in March and was informed that her services were no longer needed.

The actress told the publication that she reached an agreement to be paid until the end of August, which was when her contract was set to end but wrapped up shooting in June.

She also put the rumours about her on blast

“If you were to speak to the producers that I worked with and ask them how I’m difficult, I don’t think even a single person would say a thing. There’s rumours that I throw tantrums and I hold up production; there’s never been one production that has ever stopped because I was throwing a tantrum,” Vatiswa was quoted as saying.

Vatiswa has been at the centre of a debate about the alleged mistreatment of actors in the industry after she penned an open letter to arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa about the alleged exploitation she endured under Ferguson Films.
