A broom remains a fantastic choice for a variety of floors. From ensuring you don’t scratch a gorgeous hardwood floor, to making certain you don’t have to battle with keeping tiles clean, a broom is the way to go…
And for the most part, it’s a simple job. Yet it’s easy to get infuriated right at the end, when you mean to sweep the dirt into a brush and pan, and instead find yourself spraying your collected dust all over the floor!
That silly little lip at the edge of the pan can be a menace, as can the fly-away nature of the dust itself.
Fortunately, there are a few good tricks you can try to make the clean-up process easier.
Perhaps the simplest is just to wet the tray of your brush and pan. It’s super-simple, but the wet plastic attracts dirt and lint you’ve swept into it, holding on to it with just enough grip to make your life easier.
If you’d like to up your game a touch, simply double over a piece of masking tape and attach to the bottom of the pan, ensuring the lint stays stuck.
You can simply peel it free and toss it in the trash when you are done.
