Plan ahead

Plan your meals and snacks ahead of time. Write it down and make a schedule that you can abide by. Once you are happy with your plan, make a shopping list. Write down the quantities that you would need to buy and the estimated price.

It may be helpful to take a look at the current sales that are running. You could even plan your weekly diet and shopping list around these products. You could save yourself some money. Just be sure to keep your diet healthy.

You could perhaps allow yourself a few small treats with the money that you may have saved. If however, you managed to save to large amount of money, consider saving some for your next shopping trip instead of spending it all on high-calorie treats.

Sweet budget

If you have a sweet or treat budget, consider reducing it by gradually cutting down by one item at a time. Over time, this can save you from taking in many calories than you didn’t really need in the first place.
