Kenton-on-Sea police in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of murder after a man was found dead in his home on Monday
Police spokesperson captain Mali Govender said it was alleged the man, in his 50s, lived alone.
Govender said a relative tried contacting the man in the morning and when he received no answer, arrived at the house and made the “shocking discovery”.
The front and back doors of the deceased’s home were open and there was no forced entry, said Govender.
Forensics experts were working the scene. The motive for the murder was not yet known.
Police are appealing to any person who may have information about the incident to contact the Crime Stop number on 0860010111.
