I have found two really fab products in Sorbet’s Salon Skin range and I use them every single day. I wanted to share them with you because who DOESN’T want salon skin?
3 Things I love about Sorbet skincare products:
- They deliver on their promises
- They are widely available across SA (If you don’t have a Sorbet salon nearby, you can get them at Clicks)
- They are AFFORDABLE
As part of my job, I receive beauty product samples on my desk to test, and try really hard to make my way through them all by the end of each year (tough job, hey) but these two have pride of place in my shower caddy and on the bathroom shelf and I use them daily:
Salon Skin 3-in-1 Cleansing Micellar Water 300ml
(100ml bottle – R62)
We’ve told you all about micellar water in the past – why it’s a great addition to your beauty routine and how it does the job of both cleanser and toner. There are plenty of brands in the beauty industry that have added micellar cleansing water to their range, but this one is one of my favourites, both for the price and its easy salon pump.
What the ‘salon pump’ description means is that you only need to flip the lid and then take a cotton wool pad and press down on the top of the bottle and the liquid soaks the cotton wool – a one-handed process.
I use it at night when I remove my make-up, and it’s really effective – even removes eye make-up – so no more eyeliner skidding or scrubbing at mascara stains under your eyes. It’s gentle, doesn’t burn and the purifying micelle molecules hydrate your skin while lifting any oil, dirt and make-up impurities.
Essential oils (lavender and rosemary) give the product a gorgeous fragrance, and highly concentrated vitamins (A, C & E) add to the cleansing and purifying process.
I use it first thing in the morning too – when I’m not wearing any make-up – instead of a toner. It wakes up my skin and leaves it feeling fresh and clean, and ready for the next step in my skincare routine.
Salon Skin Daily Skin Polish Powder
A really effective product that makes skin look brighter after the first use, this polish powder removes oil build-up and helps to clear blemishes.
Combining essential oils (lavender, geranium, grapefruit & tea tree), with salicylic acid, rice powder and highly concentrated vitamins (A, C & E), it micro-exfoliates dead skin cells and opens clogged pores.
Use it in the shower by pouring a tiny amount onto wet hands and creating a paste. Smear it into your (cleansed) skin and rinse off with warm (not hot) water.
It’s gentle enough to use every day too. Follow with Salon Skin 3-in-1 Cleansing Micellar Water.
